Alanya Turcaí

Alanya is a spa town on the central Mediterranean coast of Turkey (also known as the Turkish Riviera). Among its wide and hotel-lined beaches is Cleopatra Beach where, it is said, the Egyptian queen swam. Alanya Castle, a massive fort from the Seljuk era transformed into an open-air museum, is located on a rocky cliff on the beach line, next to the Ottoman villas with red roofs and the Octagonal Red Tower, a symbol of the city dating back to 1226.
